She completed her clinical externship at Pittsburgh Ear Associates in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Cortney is licensed through the North Carolina Board of Examiners, holds a certificate of audiology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. She is also a clinical preceptor for third- and fourth-year audiology students.
